MEET THE HEART BEHIND SALT AND LIGHT
Hi, I’m Lisa Ceballo, M.S., CCC-SLP, founder of Salt and Light Speech Therapy.
Before opening Salt and Light Speech Therapy, I worked in public schools, skilled nursing facilities, teletherapy, and private practice. While those experiences shaped me into the clinician I am today, they also revealed something that weighed heavily on my heart. I wanted the freedom to provide truly individualized care—to spend the time each child deserved, build meaningful relationships with families, and focus on people over productivity.
Speech-language pathology has never been “just a job” to me—it’s a calling. For over a decade, I’ve had the privilege of helping children and families navigate communication challenges, celebrate milestones, and discover that every step of progress is worth celebrating.
That’s why I created Salt and Light Speech Therapy.

My mission is simple: to serve people first. I never want a child to feel like a number or a family to feel rushed through their questions. Every child deserves personalized, evidence-based therapy, and every parent deserves a clinician who listens, educates, encourages, and celebrates every victory alongside them.
As both a speech-language pathologist and a mom, I understand how overwhelming it can feel when you’re concerned about your child’s development. My goal is to create a place where families feel welcomed, supported, and confident that they’re receiving exceptional care tailored to their child’s unique needs.
The name Salt and Light Speech Therapy comes from Matthew 5:13–16, where Jesus calls His followers to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. My faith is the foundation of who I am and guides the way I care for others—with compassion, integrity, patience, and excellence. While faith-based services are available for families who desire them, every child and family is welcomed, respected, and cared for with the same dedication and love.
